Twitter is mainstream

In case you haven’t noticed, Twitter is mainstream. I mean really, are you surprised. When Business Week is putting articles out on CEO twitter accounts…well…that speaks for itself.

For crimeny sakes, we just had a guy tweet from outerspace. I’d like to see some pictures, too, Jennifer. Hopefully Mike Massimino, a.k.a Astro_Mike, took his camera.

Twitter traffic is ramping up. How much? Well, according to compete.com, Twitter just surpassed the New York Times and Wall Street Journal for number of unique visitors last month, significantly.

If you’re still not on the bandwagon, here are some reasons you should be tweeting. It includes some tips for people just putting their toe in the water.  If you’re ready to jump in with both feet, then hop on over to Computer World and their twitter Bible.
