then I highly recommend Audacity. It’s free list most of the tools I use. The only software I really pay for is Adobe and Quark. Anyway Audacity is one of the easiest to use and most popular sound editing applications on the web. Very easy to install. After i get the sound file out of Gizmo, I use Audacity to edit the sound file before I upload it to our web server to put the podcast online.

If you need to make some calls over the web

I recommend the Gizmo Project. Now I know most people use Skype but I prefer Gizmo. I hear the sound quality is better and a really cool function in Gizmo is that you can record your call. So I’ll do it when I’m calling Schenk to make our podcast. It also had a limited feature soundboard so I can even put in some sound effects while we’re talking. The simpsons sounds effects usually work pretty well for our conversations. Best of all it’s free as long as the person is also using Gizmo. Give it a try.
