I had the exact same experience as you did with my iPod nano, except that I had to pay to return it to them, only to be told that there was “water damage”. I take it to the gym with me. I can’t guarantee that a drop or two of water never made it’s way onto the device but to me that indicates a poor design for a product that was made to be used in that environment. The exterior red dot “water damage indicator” is simply a bad faith effort on their part to not honor their commitments.

Hey, thanks for the sorry. Unfortunately I have the touch and not the phone. Where I live (kinda rural) Verizon is the only service that has good coverage.

I’m glad I’ve never bought one piece of Apple hardware or software then. Not to say that I’m glad I was forced between choosing Microsoft or Apple.

Well if nobody’s told you sorry, then I say, Sorry! At the very least, AT&T is not an awful company. My phone (not iPhone) broke twice, once was my fault, but I managed to get a replacement under warranty both times. I’ve been very happy with AT&T’s customer service. Are you able to get a replacement iPhone from AT&T under warranty? I would try there.
